The Windward, currently mobilizing from Majuro in the Marshall Islands, serves as a cornerstone of the Indies Trader Fleet, combining commercial marine operations with essential support for our private island Beran Island. Originally built as a trawler and later serving as a pearling mothership, she has been fully transformed into a purpose-built vessel for remote watersports and marine operations. Her size and design make the Windward ideal for large groups, offering comfortable, stable conditions for full days of watersports, exploration, or commercial missions. The expansive covered aft deck doubles as a versatile “toy shed,” capable of accommodating an impressive array of equipment and cargo, allowing any operation—whether recreational or professional—to run seamlessly. With the Windward, every voyage is a mission: a combination of precision, capability, and adventure, enabling teams and explorers to access remote waters in total comfort and safety, all while supporting the ongoing operations and sustainability initiatives of Beran Island.

A Capable Vessel

Surf Trip? Dive trip? Environmental survey? Inter island cargo? She’s a versatile and comfortable vessel in great condition.

The Windward has 2 dinghies and a Jet ski with rescue sled available if required. A Hiab seacrane to get equipment on and off the boat easily and quickly. Accommodation for a whole football team then some, a walk in coolroom, icy airconditioning and plenty of deckspace undercover and outside to rig up your gear and spread out. Windward comes with a fully qualified and seasoned crew.
